Projects: Before & After

BEFORE: messy and little used garage

Before the work is started, the 100 year old garage is a mix of old and new wood angles that is not inviting for anything other than a car.

BEFORE: Don't look too close at this old house

This kitchen had all the wrong angles, with over 5 inch drop from each side of the room and outdated cabinets, and is need of a renovation.

STAGE TWO: New electrical and walls

Preparing your best kitchen takes a new floor plan with fixing old walls and adding new electrical circuits and plumbing.

The remodel included adding a central wall between the garage bays, an exterior door to the back yard, and a utility closet. It provides the home with visitor space that is accessible and inviting as well as more user friendly.

More Projects from start to finish

Old outdated tile with cracked grout speaks to potentially inadequate subfloor and possible water damage.

IMG_7754.jpg

Removing the tile uncovered improper installation where the tile and mortar were not cured together which left too much motion in the tile and cracked the grout lines.

IMG_7757.jpg

Installing a waterproof membrane with the correct mortar makes for a lasting floor and piece of mind from water damage or mold from splashing water over the edge or around the shower curtain.

The finished bathroom with a new vanity and faucet, and new tile sealed and waterproof with a subfloor membrane for lasting protection. You want to see the home you want, but you also want to know the unseen elements of your renovation keep your home safe for years to come.
